Extreme Boxing Workout Example:

Begin this workout with a piece of tape or a line that is about 8-12 feet from the heavybag. Start behind the line with your hands up. Move toward the heavybag as soon as the bell rings or the coach says, “Go!”

  1. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute one (1) jab and move back behind the line using standard footwork (shuffling). No running or crossing the feet!!
  2. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute two (2) jabs and move back behind the line
  3. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute three (3) jabs and move back behind the line

    continue this until you execute 10 jabs in a row and work your way back down to one (1) again. 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

That’s 100 Punches!!

When Complete, immediately begin with your Cross (Right Hand for Righties, Left Hand for Lefties).

  1. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute one (1) CROSS and move back behind the line
  2. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute two (2) CROSSES and move back behind the line
  3. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute three (3) CROSSES and move back behind the line

    continue this until you execute 10 CROSSES in a row and work your way back down to one (1) again. 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

That’s another 100 Punches!! (200 total)

When Complete, immediately begin with the “Ol’ 1-2. Jab and Cross. Each time you throw a cross, you count it as one (1).

  1. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute a jab/cross combo and move back behind the line
  2. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute two jab/cross combos and move back behind the line
  3. Fast Footwork to the heavybag, execute three (3) jab/cross combos and move back behind the line

    continue this until you execute 10 jab/cross combos in a row and work your way back down to one (1) again. 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

This is 200 punches!!

Total = 400 Punches in 5-7 minutes

 

Remember: In The Average 12 Round Heavyweight Fight, each fighter averages 640 punches in 12 rounds. You are throwing 400 punches in less than 2 rounds.
